FIBARO Universal Binary Sensor is a wireless module that enables increase the functionality of any sensor with binary output to communicate with the wireless network Z-Wave. The module is most often used to integrate the FIBARO wireless system with wired and wireless alarm systems. The sensor as an element of the security system is transparent for parametric alarm lines.

Multi-sensor support

Universal Binary Sensor supports up to two binary sensors and up to 4 temperature sensors DS18B20. The sensor is suitable for mounting in a sensor housing or other device. It can operate in humid environment and in high temperature using appropriate protection.

Can I use other 1-wire devices than DS18B20 sensors?

No, the universal binary sensor is only 1-wire compatible with DS18B20 sensors.

Why can't OUT1 and OUT2 outputs be controlled?

Please note that the universal binary sensor is an input module. It has been designed to work with sensors and alarm systems, changing its state would be dangerous for safety measures.

How long can a 1-wire line for DS18B20 sensors be?

It should not exceed 30 m.

Is the universal binary sensor also a Z-Wave signal amplifier?

Yes, the universal binary sensor has full Z-Wave signal amplification capabilities.

What signals should be delivered to IN1 and IN2 inputs?

Only GND signal can be supplied. This signal should be common to the GND of the universal sensor module.
