The TS-253D also provides PCIe expansion, enables multi-cloud backup, offers cloud storage gateways, 4K HDMI output and real-time transcoding. In addition, it provides expandable storage and feature-rich applications, acting as a cost-effective, reliable 2.5 GbE NAS.
The NAS server supports bandwidth-intensive applications such as virtual machines and containers. The TS-253D is equipped with an HDMI 2.0 port that supports 4K (4096 x 2160) 60 Hz output, allowing you to directly display multimedia content stored on the NAS server on a larger screen. The TS-253D can also stream video via DLNA®, Chromecast™ and others to meet the comprehensive needs of multimedia applications.
The TS-253D centrally stores data and files, and supports SMB/CIFS, AFP and NFS protocols for file sharing across Windows®, Mac® and Linux®/UNIX® networks. With the integration of the Qsync utility, any file uploaded to the TS-253D server is shared among various related devices (such as computers, laptops and mobile devices).
After installing Plex® Media Server from the App Center, setting up Plex® Media Server on the NAS takes only a few minutes. The server allows you to stream media files stored on the
TS-253D to cell phones and media streaming devices (including DLNA®, Roku®, Amazon Fire TV® and Google Chromecast™).
