For convenient multifunctional connections that go beyond the 100-meter Ethernet cable limit, UF-MM-10G can be used at a distance of up to 300 m with a speed of up to 10 Gb/s or UF-MM-1G at a distance of up to 550 m with a speed of up to 1 Gb/s.
SFP+ is an extension of the SFP standard adapted to a transmission rate of 10 Gbit/s.
We check if the ports on the device are SFP or SFP+ ports. The latter can operate at 10 Gbps. Then we select the fiber optic cable. Single mode fiber is usually used over longer distances, while multimode fiber is used over shorter distances.
