Ubiquiti UF-SM-1G-S is a pair of U Fiber series SFP modules operating in two-way (BiDi) mode. UF-SM-1G-S single-mode inserts send and receive data at 1550 nm and 1310 nm wavelengths. They are equipped with LC output connectors. Ubiquiti SFP UF-SM-1G-S inserts offer transmission over a distance to 3 km at a speed 1.25 Gbps. They are perfect for creating new installations or expanding existing ones.

For one-way long-distance routes, the UF-SM-10G model can be used for distances up to 10 km at 10 Gb/s or the UF-SM-1G model for distances up to 3 km at 1 Gb/s. In order to reuse the existing infrastructure to the maximum extent, BiDi (BiDirectional) models should be used, i.e. UF-SM-1G-S or UF-SM-10G-S.
