Built using HelioSeal technology, the industry's only fifth-generation helium platform and the foundation for our high-capacity DC HC500 series, the Ultrastar DC HC530 is designed for public and private cloud environments where storage density, Watts/TB and cost/TB are critical parameters in creating the most cost-effective infrastructure.
HelioSeal technology enables the Ultrastar DC HC530 drive to have one of the lowest power profiles in the industry, helping data center architects meet green goals and requirements. Designed to support workloads up to 550TB per year, the Ultrastar DC HC530 is based on conventional magnetic recording (CMR) technology for ease of installation in enterprise and cloud data centers.
Features such as TDMR (two-dimensional magnetic recording) technology and a third-generation two-stage micro-actuator work together to increase head positioning accuracy and deliver improved performance, data integrity and overall drive reliability, which is critical in multi-drive environments where operational vibration is a concern. A choice of SATA 6Gb/s or SAS 12Gb/s interfaces enables easy integration into high-performance data centers.
With massive capacity and unmatched reliability, Ultrastar DC HC530 is ideal for object storage deployments. Compliance and privacy requirements drive the need for increased data security.
