Huawei SCUN control board
The Huawei SCUN board is a Super Control Unit board. It forms the core of system control and service switching and aggregation. The SCUN board can also function as the management and control core of an integrated network management system (NMS). It communicates with service boards for key management and control information via the master/slave serial port and inband channel GE/10GE. In this way, the SCUN board configures, manages and controls the device, and implements simple routing protocol functions.
The basic principle of Huawei SCUN
- The control module manages the entire board and service boards and communicates with the fan tray via an extended serial port.
- The power module supplies power to the card's other functional modules.
- The clock module provides clock signals to the card's other functional modules.
- The switching module provides a GE port and a 10GE port for Layer 2 or Layer 3 switching and service aggregation.
- Provides four GE ports for data transfer using the front panel ports.
- Provide two GE/10GE ports for each broadcast board in broadcast transmission
- Provide 16 GE/10GE ports to implement GE/10GE switching on each service board
- Provide two 10GE ports for load sharing with the standby control board (supported on V800R011C00 and later versions)
