What does the abbreviation QoS mean ?

QoS stands for Quality of Service, which means quality of service in Polish.

Why do we use routers with QoS system ?

Using routers without the QoS function can be cumbersome, e.g. it will lead to a situation where one person downloads huge files at full speed for a long time and thus uses the whole link. The other user will have trouble browsing the web or watching video. A router with QoS function detects what is important and what is less and gives higher priority.
