Based on Cambium Networks' widely used, proven NLOS (non-line-of sight) technology, the wireless Ethernet PTP 670 br> offers a range of features for greater capacity and operational flexibility and the highest spectral performance in the industry. They work in channels from 5 to 45 MHz, PTP radio 670 systems provide 4.9 to 6.05 GHz and multi-band flexibility on a single radio. With Dynamic Spectrum Optimization (Spectrum Analyzer DSO), Cambium Networks' PTP radio 670 systems continuously optimize the operating channel to increase link reliability and performance, providing up to 99.999% availability in virtually any environment, including invisible, long-distance, high interference, over water, desert and extreme weather conditions. To sum up, the presented device provides more bandwidth in the most demanding environments with less spectrum and low investment.

High multipoint and point-to-point capitalization

With the PTP 670, operators now have the flexibility to deploy not only in point-to-point topologies, but also in high-capacity multipoint applications. HCMP allows you to connect up to eight remote nodes to one main radio. This opens the way for new implementation models that simplify planning and enable quick deployment, and by using the same hardware, regardless of the topology, provide a fast return on investment in hardware and training. What is the key difference between PTP 650 and PTP 670?

The PTP 670 has a faster processor with more memory, making it ready to support High Capacity Multipoint (HCMP).

PTP 670 has a simplified license structure. By default, the radio provides full capacity, no capacity key is required.

The integrated PTP 670 antenna offers 23 dBi (integrated 23dBi), just like the integrated PTP 650 radio, but its size is 25 percent smaller.

Is PTP 670 backwards compatible with PTP 650?

Yes, the PTP 670 is fully backwards compatible with the PTP 650 with the specified firmware load. When the PTP 670 is used as PTP 650, it cannot support HCMP or other new PTP 670 features.
