Amazing performance

Cisco WAP581 uses a dual-band radio to increase range and user capabilities. With 4x4 MU-MIMO technology on 5 GHz radio and 3x3 MIMO on 2.4 GHz radio the access point works with maximum performance, providing a better user experience. Two Gigabit Ethernet LAN interfaces, one 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and one 1 Gigabit Ethernet with PoE, facilitate flexible installation and reduce cabling costs. Intelligent Quality of Service (QoS) features give priority to bandwidth-sensitive traffic such as VoIP and video.

Security

To increase reliability and protect confidential business information, the WAP581 supports both Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) Personal and Enterprise and encrypts all wireless transmissions with powerful encryption. Authentication with 802.1X RADIUS protocol protects against unauthorized access. The WAP581 access point is integrated with Cisco Umbrella to protect employees and visitors from Internet threats such as malware.

Scalability

Access points are designed for smooth scaling. The Single Point Setup single point configuration requires no additional controller, simplifying the deployment of multiple access points without additional hardware.
