ThePoE Switch TL-SF1006P features 6 10/100 MbpsRJ45 ports that require no configuration. Four of them (1 to 4) support Power over Ethernet (PoE). The switch automatically detects IEEE 802.3af powered devices (PDs) and supplies them with power. This solution allows you to extend your network coverage in places where there is no access to outlets or power lines, but you need to place access points, IP cameras, IP phones, etc.
Prevention of overloading
Each port of the switch is equipped with the function of automatic negotiation of connection speed. The device also has a prioritization function, which can protect the system in moments of overload. The power consumption of PoE powered devices is up to 67 watts, and devices connected to higher priority ports are powered first.
Protection in moments of overloading
Port Priority: port-1, port-2, port-3, port-4. This function protects your system when the system is overloaded. For example, if port-1, port-2, and port-4 each consume 15.4 wat ts (where the maximum value for a port is 15.4 watts), then the system will consume 46.2 watts (the PoE LED will light up red). If a device that consumes 21W is connected to port 3, the system will disconnect power from port 4. So port 1 and 2 will consume 15. 4W, port 3 will consume 21W, and port 4 will be disconnected from power.
