The airFiber 60 GHz LR radio system with wave technology and true duplex gigabit performance is designed for long distance PtP links. With the AF60-LR, it is possible to establish links at distances greater than 12 km, while the regular airFiber 60 (AF60) is only designed for 2+ km.
At the heart of the AF60-LR is a powerful Quad-Core ARM Cortex A7 PROCESSOR, which along with 256 MB of DDR3 RAM provides excellent performance. There is one 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port for network connection.
TheairFiber 60 Long Range operates in the frequency range of 57 to 71 Ghz, depending on the region. It simultaneously supports 2160 and 1080 Mhz channel widths. The maximum transmitter power is 21 dBm and the antenna gain is 43 dBi, which provides data transmission over 12 km in line of sight. The maximum throughput can reach 1.8 Gbps.
Despite quite powerful parameters, the device is very compact and light - Ø413 mm and weighs only 1.5 kg (with the mount - about 2.7 kg). The access point is powered using Passive PoE (Pairs 4, 5+; 7, 8-) via 48vdc, 0.65 A Gigabit PoE adapter. The device is designed for outdoor use and can adequately withstand temperature conditions from -40 to 60° C.
