The sight of a robot cleaning the house used to be like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. However, this is already a thing of the past, in the country on the Vistula River, robot vacuum cleaners are gaining in popularity. People often have a preconceived notion that these robots cost a fortune and therefore are a luxury commodity. The truth seems to be quite different, the rapid growth of new companies making automatic vacuum cleaners caused a huge price reduction. But is it worth investing your hard-earned money in this novelty? I'll admit that I personally was quite wary of buying it. I have a dog and three cats at home which makes keeping everything tidy quite a challenge for me, I thought that if I have some difficulties then a robot would surely fail. And you know what? The robot surprised and proved me wrong!

Automatic vacuuming and a mopping function sound really encouraging, but let's start from the beginning. Xiaomi cordless vacuum cleaners are a series of modern hybrid robots that combine vacuuming and floor cleaning. In the older generations, the devices first vacuumed the floor and then had to be manually switched to the "mopping" mode. Today there are products on the market that enable simultaneous vacuuming and washing of floors, which makes them fully automatic.

And how does it really work in practice? The cordless vacuum cleaner first "pulls in" the dirt and then uses a tank from which it draws water and moistens the microfibre material. That is basically a quick freshing up of the floor with a wet cloth.

With a word of introduction, Xiaomi in their offer have vacuum cleaners starting from 1000 PLN and ending at 2500 PLN. The principle is simple, however, the more expensive robots can do more and give us more features to make use of. It is worth mentioning that budget robots get the job done too! :)

5. Xiaomi Mijia 1C Vacuum-Mop

   

   This is a great budget alternative to Xiaomi s50. The robot is equipped with a mopping function which works quite well. A definite advantage of this vacuum cleaner is the 600 ml capacity of the dirt tank and the water tank has a capacity of 200 ml. Thanks to the fact that the vacuum cleaner has an ambient scanner it does not move chaotically but vacuums room by room. It is worth mentioning that the device has an automatic return function, thanks to which the vacuum cleaner returns to the charging station when its battery runs low and then returns to continue cleaning.

4. Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner

   

   This one has wall sensors that keep a distance of 10mm from walls to effectively clean edges with a side brush. The casing itself looks very elegant, which makes the Xiaomi vacuum cleaner will fit into any interior.With this, it is worth mentioning that this vacuum cleaner has a very good battery (5200 mAh)(lithium-ion battery), we also get a great built-in application that gives us a range of possibilities. The cost of the vacuum cleaner varies around the 1000 PLN mark, in my opinion this is the best budget device available on the market.

3. Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro

   

   This is the successor of the first generation Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner, this vacuum cleaner, unlike its predecessor, is equipped with mopping functions. In the sweeping and mopping mode the robot uses a larger tank than its predecessor with a capacity of 550ml (the older version had 420ml). Xiaomi automatic vacuum cleaner uses Laser Distance System (LDS LIDAR) technology, thanks to this solution the device has a 360 degree monitoring of the environment and the stored maps are stored in the device's memory, which can then be accessed from our smartphone via the Mi Home application. The Xiaomi cleaning robot has been equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 3200mAh, allowing it to work for up to 110 minutes (after discharging, the device returns to the charging station and then returns to work automatically). It should be noted that this is a significant decrease compared to its predecessor, which had a battery with a capacity of 5200mAh and allowed to work for up to 150 minutes. The manufacturer makes up for a decrease in battery capacity with updated device software, compared to the 1st generation. The older model allowed us only to preview the generated map, while in the new model we have access to the management of the robot's route, so we have full freedom in planning the cleaning of each room. We can also use the app to set the suction power or mopping power. We also have functions to enable the robot to clean remotely from the MI Home application, wherever we are. I think this is fair compensation for the decrease in battery performance compared to its predecessor.

2. Xiaomi Roborock s50 (white) and Roborock s55 (black)

   

   Xiaomi MiJia Roborock Vacuum Cleaner 2, has so far led the way among all available devices on the market. This vacuum cleaner combines two functions which allow for a combination of simultaneous vacuuming and floor cleaning. The manufacturer has decided to increase the suction power up to 2000Pa (comparable power to that of classic vacuum cleaners). Thanks to the 5200 mAh battery in the Xiaomi Roborock s50, the real working time of the device is 2,5 hours. In addition, to ensure efficient cleaning, the Xiaomi mi Robot 2 is equipped with a separate water tank. The water from the tank moistens the microfibre material and the intelligent system controls the water level itself. The Xiaomi 2 vacuum cleaner also has an automatic return to the charging station, making it fully automatic. This is definitely my favorite on the list.

1. Xiaomi Mija Roborock S6

   

   Long awaited cleaning robot, Roborock S6 the latest model has all the advantages of its s5 series predecessor (s50 and s55). The Xiaomi vacuum cleaner has been enhanced with many innovations that make cleaning even more effective. The design of the vacuum cleaner itself is confusingly similar to its predecessor, but the devil is in the details. First of all, the brushes have been made from scratch, they now have thicker bristles, which makes cleaning even more effective and gentle on the floor. In addition, you can see that the manufacturer has focused strongly on "soundproofing" the vacuum cleaner. (volume was one of the disadvantages of the s5 series). The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a powerful lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 5200mAh, which allows it to work for up to 2.5 hours.
