The Aruba 2930F Series switches are designed to create digital workspaces that are optimized for mobile users. These entry-level Layer 3 access switches are easy to deploy and operate with advanced network management and security features such as Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager, Aruba AirWave and Aruba Central cloud service. The Virtual Switching Platform (VSF) provides module stack scalability and ease of use for SMB peripherals, office and branch offices. The 2930F switch delivers performance and cost savings with support for software-defined networking (SDN), OSPF at the access layer, QoS features, static and RIP routing, and no software licensing.
The Aruba 2930F Series switches are based on the Aruba ProVision ASIC architecture, designed to provide mobile campus networking capabilities with low latency, enhanced packet caching and adaptive power consumption. Selectable queue configurations and memory caching levels tailored to specific network application requirements improve performance across the network. Virtual Switching Platform (VSF) enables virtualization of up to four physical switches into a single logical device, simplifying network structure and increasing flexibility.
The Aruba 2930F Series switches have a robust set of security and QoS features that ensure network protection (including against internal and external attacks) and compliance with evolving corporate policies and regulations. Flexible authentication options, including multi-standard security protocols (including network authentication, as well as MAC and 802.1X), enhance network security and provide policy-based access to applications. Effective layered access security controls include source port filtering, RADIUS and TACACS capabilities , SSL, port security and MAC blocking.
