The cnPilot e505 is a compact, easy-to-hide outdoor access point. With its omni-directional antenna, small size and internal antennas, the e505 can be part of a large, distributed outdoor wireless network. It is ideal for public parks, public facilities, beaches or rural Wi-Fi hotspots.
These omnidirectional access points are tailored for low, medium and high density applications. Each comes with an integrated mounting bracket and internal antennas, making installation easy and repeatable from one location to another. The e505 is designed for fast and unobtrusive outdoor Wi-Fi deployment. It is ideal for aesthetically sensitive locations, such as a hotel pool, or for discreet public and neighborhood Wi-Fi networks. The e505 from Cambium Networks features an internal omnidirectional coverage antenna with a built-in mounting bracket.
ThecnPilot e505 has a multi-hop MESH feature that gives flexibility to the network administrator. Select the band to be used for MESH (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz). and set whether clients can access the network on one or both bands. Auto-MESH detects Cambium Networks' MESH link with policy-based secure access. Once detected, cnMaestro provides the correct policy-based provisioning rules for the access point.
The cnMaestro controller supports all Cambium Networks enterprise-class 802.11 and broadband point-to-point and point-to-multipoint access points.
