According to the 802.11ac Wave 2 standard, the Cisco Business 140AC access point provides a data transfer rate of up to 867 Mb/s at 5GHz. This exceeds the capabilities offered by access points supporting 802.11n standard. It also allows for a total, two-radio data transmission speed up to 1 Gb/s. Multi-User (MU) Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) technology allows simultaneous data transmission to multiple 802.11ac Wave 2 clients to improve customer service. Prior to the introduction of MU-MIMO technology, 802.11n and 802.11ac Wave 1 access points could only transmit data simultaneously to a single client, usually referred to as Single-User MIMO (SU-MIMO). 802.11ac Wave 2 with 2x2:2 MIMO technology uses two radio streams when operating in SU-MIMO or MU-MIMO mode, offering speeds up to 867 Mbps.
The Cisco Business Mobile application allows for easy implementation and configuration of many Cisco Business access points and Mesh devices without a physical controller. Optional remote management of multiple access points is available through Cisco FindIT Network Management application.
It is possible to mix Cisco Business Mesh devices and access points to increase the range of WiFi networks.

The Cisco Business 140AC access point is managed through Cisco Business Mobile, an intuitive mobile application that simplifies traditional wireless deployment challenges directly from the smartphone. You can easily expand your network by adding new Mesh extensions using Quick Response (QR) codes and activating your wireless network in minutes. The powerful management function dynamically changes the network configuration, e.g. allowing secure guest access. Network usage, traffic patterns and bandwidth can be closely monitored, providing real-time data; this not only provides peace of mind, but virtually ensures optimal service. Cisco Business Mobile is available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
The Cisco Business 140AC access point has a single port uplink Gigabit Ethernet and is powered by Power over Ethernet (802.3af PoE standard).
This elegant, compact access point is designed for flexible mounting possibilities. It can be mounted directly on the ceiling (including T-bar mounting) or wall. It is easy to install and the mounting hardware is included.
