D-Link Switch DGS-1100-05 supports a convenient and intuitive client tool (SmartConsole Utility or D-Link Network Assistant Utility). This tool allows you to switch between D-Link's Smart Switch family in the same L2 network segment. Thanks to the system used, the user does not have to change the IP address of his computer, and this greatly facilitates the configuration of switches. The tool provides a graphical web interface that makes network configuration and management user-friendly and intuitive.

The DGS-1100-05 device ensures safety in the network by using advanced security features such as Static Mac, Storm Control and IGMP Snooping.

• Static MAC (Static Mac) allows you to create a white-list of MAC addresses for each port, so the administrator can only assign authorized devices to the network.
• Storm Control limits the number of multicast, broadcast and unicast frames accepted and transmitted by the device.
• IGMP Snooping - IGMP's traffic filtering protocol, which manages the flow of multicast packets so that the packets go to the appropriate host without overloading the entire network with this type of traffic.
