SFTP Cat. 5e is most often used to build local networks, it includes Fast Ethernet (100 Mb/s) and Gigabit Ethernet 1000 MB/s applications . It is built with 4 pairs of twisted-pair cables, which eliminates mutual and electromagnetic interference. The cables are made of pure copper with a thickness of 24 AWG and protected by a PE sheath. The diameter of each cable with insulation is 0.97 mm. The cable is shielded with aluminium foil and aluminium alloy braiding. The packaging contains 305 meters of the cable.
The polyethylene PE coating has high mechanical strength and high chemical resistance, it also has a gas barrier, making it ideal for outdoor applications. The packaging contains a self-expanding roller, which guarantees comfortable unwinding of the cable without the risk of entanglement.
The cable is designed for outdoor installation in telephone ducts, collectors, mines, on building walls and everywhere where there is a risk of increased electromagnetic discharges. The twisted-pair cable is also often used in CCTV installations, because one cable can transmit both the video signal from several cameras and supply them with power.
