PATCHCORD LC/UPC-LC/UPC SM G.652D SIMPLEX 3.0MM 5M
Single-mode patchcord with a length of 5meters, cable diameter of 3mm, terminated with LC/UPC-LC/UPC connectors is used to connect optical network equipment such as switches or converters. G652D fiber dedicated to 10Gbps systems, wavelength is from 1310nm, bending radius is 30mm. Patchcords are also widely used in FTTH networks to connect OLT and ONU/ONT devices.
What is the difference between single-mode and multimode patchcord?
Single-mode - transmitting only one mod of light. They allow signal transmission over very long distances without the risk of signal attenuation or distortion.
Multimode - carrying multiple light mods simultaneously. They allow to transmit a signal over a much shorter distance, and when used over long distances can cause the appearance of signal interference.
What does Simplex and Duplex mean?
Simplex - a connection in which transmission takes place unilaterally from transmitter to receiver. Used in simplex radio networks to exchange information on a single channel without the need for retransmission stations.
Duplex, also bidirectional transmission - a connection in which it is possible to transmit and receive information in both directions. The transmitter and receiver can swap functions or perform these functions simultaneously.
