LUNA 1G E is an EPON optical ONU terminal designed to meet broadband access network requirements. It is used in FTTH/FTTO to provide data and video services based on the EPON network.
EPON is the latest generation of access network technology. IEEE802.3ah is the standard EPON protocol. The EPON standard differs from other passive optical network standards in that it achieves higher throughput and higher efficiency with larger variable length packets. EPON offers efficient user traffic management with frame segmentation, thus enabling higher quality of service (QOS) for delay-sensitive voice or video traffic.
High performance EPON networks provide reliable services to businesses and residential users. Deploying Fiber To The Home (FTTH) networks with EPON is extremely cost effective.
LUNA 1 GE is equipped with one auto-adaptive GE port. The LUNA client terminal features high data transfer performance, providing a superior experience for Internet and HD video services. It is the perfect terminal solution to support FTTH deployment capabilities. The device is compatible with third party OLT systems such as Huawei/ZTE/Fiberhome/Alcatel Lucen.
