The Extralink SFP+-ZR fiber optic module is designed for 8.5G/10G Fiber- Channel and 10GBE systems. The single-mode SFP 10G module consists of two sections, i.e. the transmitter section containing the EML laser and the receiver section consisting of an APD photo diode integrated with TIA. All modules meet the safety requirements for a Class I laser. The digital diagnostic functions of the SFP+-ZR cartridge are available through a 2-wire serial interface, which allows real-time access to the device's operating parameters such as SFP optical module temperature, laser beam current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and cartridge supply voltage. Extralink SFP+ 10G 1550NM enables transmission over a distance up to 80 km.
