The S5800-X Series Gigabit Switches are next-generation Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices developed by FiberHome for service providers and enterprise networks. The S5800-X switch provides high switching capacity and Gigabit ports for 10Gbit/s upstream transmission. It can be deployed in a variety of scenarios such as the convergence layer of large enterprise and campus networks, the core layer of medium and small business networks, and the front-end layer of MAN networks, as well as a desktop switch for GE terminal access. The S5800-X incorporates advanced reliability, security and power saving technologies to help customers build networks with lower operating and capital costs.
TheFiberhome S5800-28T-X-AC provides Ethernet reliability-enhancing technologies such as STP/RSTP/MSTP, Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (G.8032) with millisecond-level protection switching, and R-link and VRRP for link-level reliability. All S5800-X models support 1 permanent power supply, and the AC adapter and DC adapter can be used simultaneously. In addition, the switch supports error and alarm detection for power supply and fan modules, and the fan speed can be automatically adjusted according to temperature changes.
TheS5800-28T-X-AC Gigabit switch supports IGMP snooping, IGMP proxy, IGMP filter, and IGMP fast leave services to provide robust multicast support. It offers multicast packet replication between VLANs at link speed and multicast load balancing between trunk member interfaces to meet the requirements of IPTV and other multicast services.
The S5800-28T-X-AC switch offers Gigabit Ethernet with intelligent services that provide seamless data flow through tagging, classification, and scheduling mechanisms. It supports traffic classification based on multiple criteria such as MAC/IP address, Layer 4 TCP/UDP port number, protocol, port, and VLAN. Each port supports 8 priority queues with multiple queue scheduling algorithms such as SP/PQ, WRR to ensure that the highest priority packets are processed before all other traffic.
Fiberhome S5800-X offers a comprehensive security solution, providing service protection in three aspects: subscriber, switch, and network. Subscriber security helps create protection for customers through multiple features. DHCP Snooping, ARP Inspection and IP Source Guard help identify each client based on MAC, IP address and port information to prevent malicious attacks.
Switch security means that the CPU can be protected from DoS and storm attacks. The port security feature allows you to control the number of MAC addresses so as not to overload the switch memory. Network security involves filtering all incoming traffic to ensure that only valid traffic passes through the network by applying various ACL rules, and IEEE 802.1x authentication prevents unsecured terminals from illegally invading the entire network.
