Extralink SM Aerial Cable is an overhead fibre optic cable. It is constructed using 48 G.652D fibers placed in 4 loose tubes twisted around a centrally located FRP rod, which is a strengthening element. The cable is covered with HDPE coating.
Self-supporting optical fibre is characterized by resistance to severe weather conditions and temperature differences. Its construction is reinforced with FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) rod. The outer sheath made of polyethylene is resistant to solar radiation.
