Huawei MA5608T is the world's first OLT terminal that combines the functionality of an aggregation switch and router. The MA5608T can be installed in a residential neighborhood, reducing the use of ODN backbone optical cables. The terminal supports ADSL2, SHDSL, POTS, GPON, 10G GPON and P2P access modes, and provides subscribers with Internet, voice and video access. It is the smallest OLT from Huawei capable of supporting up to 4096 users at once. The terminal can be used as a mini-OLT supporting GPON and 10G GPON and as a mini-DSLAM supporting ADSL2, VDSL2, SHDSL
The terminal supports aggregation and plug-and-playmanagement for remote sites. This eliminates the need to run on-site software and OSS integration, which simplifies device management. Management of remote devices is focused on OLT through GE aggregation. In this way, service configuration, software upgrades, and maintenance of remote sites can be performed using OLT, significantly reducing the complexity of FTTx network management.
TheMA5608T provides 3 protection mechanisms on the network side, access side, and device side to ensure services are not interrupted.
