Huawei Ethernet S6700 series are next-generation Gigabit Ethernet 10 switches. The S6700 devices can function as access switches in an Internet Data Center (IDC) or as campus switches. They feature high performance and offer 10 GE line-speed access ports and 40 GE or even 100 GE line-speed uplink ports. They can be used in data centers to provide 10 Gbit/s access to servers, or function as a core switch in a campus network to provide 40 Gbit/s or even 100 Gbit/s traffic aggregation. The S6700 enables a wide range of services, comprehensive security policies and various QoS features to help customers build scalable, manageable, reliable and secure data centers. The multitude of features and benefits allow for efficient network solutions.
ENP's flexible packet processing and network traffic control capabilities can meet current and future service requirements, helping to build a highly scalable network. ENP has a fully programmable architecture on which enterprises can define their own forwarding models, behaviors and search algorithms, making network management extremely efficient and effective. Programmability allows new services to be provided without hardware replacement for a period of six months.
Next-generation intelligent stacking (iStack) technology allows multiple switches to be combined into a single logical switch. The entire stack acts as a single entity in the network. Supporting member switches in the stack and establishing link aggregation increases device reliability. The iStack system provides high network scalability and allows flexible expansion of ports, bandwidth, and processing capacity by simply adding member switches to the stack. It also simplifies device configuration and management by virtualizing multiple physical switches into a single logical device. To manage all member switches in the stack, simply log in to any member switch.
Many servers use 10G network cards to provide adequate bandwidth for users. The S6700 can be used in data centers to provide high performance data transmission and 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The switch has a large buffer capacity and uses an advanced buffer scheduling mechanism to provide non-blocking transmission of high traffic in data centers.
