Huawei X2CS

The X2CS board is a 2-port 10 GE Uplink interface card that offers two 10 GE upstream or cascade optical ports.

Basic principles of X2CS board operation

• The control module reports status and production information about the board as well as interface information, manages the modules on the board and processes alarms.
• The interface module provides two 10 GE ports.
• The Ethernet Synchronous Clock Module takes the clock signals from 10 GE signals and synchronizes the 8 kHz control board clock with the clock signals.
• The power supply module supplies power to the other functional modules of the board.
• The clock module provides clock signals for other functional board modules.
