About product

Mikrotik Routerboard RBLHGG- 5ACD-XL Light Head Grid

Mikrotik Routerboard RBLHGG-5ACD-XL Light Head Grid (LHG) is a device operating in 5 GHz band and using modern 802.11ac standard. It is ideal as a lightweight radio device integrated with antenna with 27 dBi gain and 25dBm transmitter power. It is ideal for point-to-point connections or as a client device (CPE). The 5acD version is characterized by a very efficient IPQ-4018 processor equipped with 4 cores with 716 MHz clock and 256 MB of RAM and 1Gbps Ethernet port.

2

Ideal mesh design

The grid design provides protection against wind, moreover, thanks to mounting the device inside the grid, losses associated with the wires connecting the device to the antenna are eliminated.

1

A device that uses double polarisation and greater transmitting power

The offered product uses double polarity and 2x2 MIMO (dual-chain) technology. Theoretical bandwidth (in 802.11ac standard) is up to 866 Mbps and maximum transmission power 25 dBm. An additional advantage is very narrow main beam having about 7°. The device is powered via passive PoE with voltage from 10 - 30 V DC .

Routerboard what is it?

RouterBOARD is a hardware platform from MikroTik, which is a line of routers with RouterOS operating system. Almost all models of RouterBOARD devices can be powered via Ethernet (PoE) and have a connector for external power source.

Client devices (CPE, Bridge) what is its application ?

The most important feature that distinguishes MikroTik CPE and Bridge devices is their adaptation to the urban environment. In this respect, they have been optimized and consequently become more reliable. They are characterized by maximum resistance to interference, which is of great importance in today's increasingly crowded urban radio environment.

Please note that client devices equipped with internal housings (e.g. internal Access Points) cannot be mounted outside. In the case of Bridge Client devices with integrated antenna it is very important to install them properly. The antenna mountings (or masts) have to be stable, so they should be equipped with extraction brackets. Keep this in mind, as it affects the performance of the wireless network.
