About product

MikroTik QRT 5 ac

QRT 5 ac is a rugged external flat-panel antenna with a built-in RouterBOARD antenna. The device has a dual-polarized 24dBi antenna and radio module with output power up to 1000mW (30dBm) and housing resistant to various weather conditions.

1

An even stronger interior

A 5GHz high power wireless transmitter that currently supports 802.11ac and is also backwards compatible with 802.11a/n. Inside there is a two string RB911G-5HPacD high power, high performance and high output power wireless transmitter. It has a Gigabit Ethernet port to take full advantage of 802.11ac high speed wireless network. Easy to use and quick to deploy, QRT is ideal for longer point-to-point connections at 802.11ac (2x2 MIMO) .

2

Front panel with LEDs showing connection status

RouterOS allows you to configure any LED activity as you wish. It is possible to configure the LEDs to display wireless signal strength, flash LEDs on interface traffic activity and many other options.

Routerboard what is it?

RouterBOARD is a hardware platform from MikroTik, which is a line of routers with RouterOS operating system. Almost all models of RouterBOARD devices can be powered via Ethernet (PoE) and have a connector for external power source.

What does polarization of the antenna mean ?

There's no polarization of the wave in the wire. It's about how the electromagnetic field is emitted from the antenna. If the transmitting antenna is vertical, it transmits vertical polarization. If it is horizontal, it has horizontal polarization.

What is the PoE power supply used for ?

PoE (Power over Ethernet) is the name of a series of methods that allow you to power your network equipment via twisted-pair cable while transferring data simultaneously.
