RF Elements STH-A45-USMA is a scalar Horn type antenna with asymmetrical radiation pattern. The STH-A45-USMA has both a waveguide and RP-SMA interface for easy connection. The StarterHorn A45 USMA anten na is a suitable starter for customers who have no experience with Horn antenna technology and require a small initial investment.
TheStarterHorn A45 USMA has a unique radiation pattern. The main beam is asymmetric, with an elliptical cross-section: measured at -6dB, the beam width is 45° in azimuth and 30° in elevation.
Noise in unlicensed 5 GHz wireless networks is caused by side lobes of commonly used traditional patch array antennas. The RF Elements StarterHorn A45 USMA antenna has no side lobes, ensuring efficient use of the spectrum. As a result, the wireless network is not subject to high interference.
Beam efficiency (BE) is a measure of side lobes with values ranging from 0 to 100%. The higher the BE value, the fewer side lobes the antenna has. The StarterHorn A45° USMA antenna has a BE of 90%, thus suppressing the vast majority of interference and providing a significant increase in throughput. In comparison, the BE of commonly used patch array sector antennas rarely exceeds 58%!
The main lobe shape and gain of the StarterHorn A45 USMA antenna do not change with frequency. The antenna's performance is stable over a wide range of frequencies between the U-NII-1 and U-NII-3 bands. This is extremely important for WISP operators planning to deploy a network because they can rely on the antenna's performance every time they change channels.
RF Elements StarterHorn A45 USMA provides superior performance in dense colocation installations. With StarterHorn A45 sector antennas, you can split a poorly performing 90° sector into two 45° sectors with excellent performance and offer higher bandwidth packets or connect more customers.
TheStarterHorn A45 USMA offers a wide range of radio connectivity options. RP-SMA ports are suitable for any radio with coaxial output. An additional waveguide port allows connection to IsoStation and PrismStationdevices from Ubiquiti Networks.
TheStarterHorn A45 USMA is built with the highest quality materials, yet is reasonably priced. The antenna is made of aluminum, making it very lightweight and compact. Mounting is simple and functional with M6 stainless steelcomponents.
