The managed PoE switch is a unique device that combines a managed switch with a PoE injector and I/O controller. Unlike typical PoE switches with a fixed output voltage, the Tinycintrol 4F1G allows the Ethernet output voltage to be the same as the switch supply voltage. If this is powered by a buffer power supply with battery, we additionally have the cheapest and very compact redundant power solution.
This solution also allows for much higher current consumption than typical switches, it is limited to only 2A per port. This is especially important in case of temporary, usually much higher inrush or transmit currents for radio devices. Note, however, that such a high current will cause the Ethernet jack to burn out quickly. All the parameters of this power supply, both for the entire switch and for each port, are controlled remotely, including a Watchdog function that resets the power to the port if there is no ICMP response.
Also unique is the compact design with a height of 1U and a depth of only 31 mm. This allows the switch to fit into flat hallway cabinets and still leave room for elegant cable routing. Another unique feature of our device is the 2 logic inputs for controlling the switch environment (e.g. cabinet doors) and the voltage output for remote activation of different receivers. Additionally, the PoE Switch 4F1G has a reset button.
