The Deco application allows you to switch on both at the same time. However, please note that in case of a conflict, QoS takes precedence over individual devices.
Note: Some Deco models only support QoS devices such as Deco M4 and E4 etc.
If you want to use Deco with your existing router, do the following:
Define a different network name (SSID) and password than in the current network. Running Deco with the same SSID can lead to technical problems.
If possible, disable the Wi-Fi of your existing router. You will then have one SSID for the entire network, with minimal wireless interference. This will ensure a reliable internet connection and trouble-free roaming.
If your router is a combination of a modem and a router from your ISP, contact your ISP for instructions on how to disable its wireless features.
Your ISP may also receive instructions on how to set your device in bridge mode. If so, it is suggested that you configure your router in bridge mode to avoid some technical problems, such as double NAT.
