The TP-Link T1700G-28TQ L2+ Gigabit, stackable switch is designed to build a scalable, stable and fast access network. The product is equipped with 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and four 10 Gigabit SFP+ slots for greater flexibility in network expansion. The T1700G-28TQ provides support for advanced Layer 2+ and QoS functionality on an enterprise scale. The physical layer stacking feature ensures network stability and efficient redundancy control. This is undoubtedly one of the best solutions when considering the choice of economical device for corporate networks.
Thanks to the physical stacking technology, which allows to combine several switches into one unit, we can speed up our device and manage it more easily. The T1700G-28TQ allows to achieve a bi-directional 40G stacking capacity, with built-in redundancy and automatic emergency switching. The switch supports up to 6 units in a stack, providing a total of 144 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 12 SFP+ 10 G slots and 768 Gbps switching capacity, allowing you to manage and easily expand even demanding networks.
The T1700G-28TQ features a number of second layer configuration features such as 802.1Q VLAN support, port isolation, port mirroring, STP/ RSTP/ MSTP, port aggregation, and 802.3x flow control. It also has numerous maintenance functions such as loop back connection detection, cable diagnostics and IGMP snooping. IGMP snooping gives you the ability to intelligently transmit multicast streaming to specific subscribers only, and IGMP throttling and IGMP filtering effectively restrict access to multicast for unauthorized users. The T1700G-28TQ also supports the L2+ layer function, static routing.
The switch is equipped with extensive QoS functions, which ensure simultaneous and smooth voice transmission of video or data. To ensure smooth data transmission, the administrator can set priorities based on 802.1P and DSCP protocols. Storm Control, IP-MAC-Port, port protection and DHCP Snooping protect against ARP or broadcast storm attacks. To authenticate users who want to access the network, the device uses 802.1X encryption in combination with RADIUS server functions.
