The unmanaged switch is only used to expand Ethernet ports on the network, allowing more devices to access the network simultaneously. An uplink device, such as a router or switch, can be connected to any of the switch's ports, and end customers, such as computers, can be connected to other ports, then the configuration is complete.
The unmanaged switch is a plug-and-play device that requires no configuration. It cannot be managed and has no management interface or IP address.
The switch can normally communicate with devices with shielded twisted pair cable connected. But for the shielding function to work, the switch must be grounded.
The parameter Jumbo Frame of TP-Link switches can be found in the product specification on their official website. Take the example of the unmanaged switch TL-SG1024, we can go to the product specification TL-SG1024, in the column "performance" we see that it supports Jumbo Frame Switches with a maximum frame size of 10 KB.
If there is no Jumbo Frame Declaration for one switch in the product specification, it means that this model number does not support Jumbo Frame, i.e. the maximum frame size of this switch is 1522 Bytes / Baby Jumbo Frame Support.
