The unmanageable switch is only used to expand Ethernet ports on the network, allowing more devices to access the network simultaneously. An uplink device, such as a router or switch, can be connected to any of the switch's ports, and end customers, such as computers, can be connected to other ports, after which the configuration is complete.
The unmanaged switch is a plug-and-play device that requires no configuration. It cannot be managed and has no management interface or IP address.
In the case of an unmanaged switch, it will be identified as a rack-mounted switch on the official website if it can be mounted in a rack. So we can search the model of the switch on the official TP-Link website to confirm whether it can be mounted in a rack.
