TL-SG3216 is a managed second layer switch equipped with 16 10/100/1000Mb/s ports. This TP-Link switch is a guarantee of high quality of work, support for advanced features such as QoS, threat protection strategies and network management functions in layer 2, traffic management, network protection against threats and much more. The switch is managed using an intuitive interface available through a web browser, CLI or using SNMP and RMON protocols. TL-SG3216 is the ideal solution for workgroups and branch offices requiring a cost-effective solution for gigabit transmission.
JetStream 3 series switches have functions such as IP-MAC-Port-VID bindings, port protection, Storm Control, DHCP Snooping and IP Source Guard, which effectively protect our network against ARP attacks, broadcast storm etc. This allows us to define typical DoS attacks to be detected by our switch. This solution gives us a safer network than ever. Moreover, the switch uses 802.1X encryption combined with RADIUS server functions to authenticate users who want to access the network.
The TL-SG3216 switch uses the advanced QoS service options to deliver better sound, data and video over the network. The administrator has the ability to prioritize network traffic, e.g. for individual IP addresses, MAC addresses, TCP or UDP ports etc. This ensures that audio and video transmission is smooth, clear and free from transmission delays.
The managed TL-SG3216 switch supports a variety of Layer 2 switch functions such as VLAN tagging (802.1Q), Port Mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP and LACP support, and data flow functions (802.3x). In addition, the switch supports advanced network security features such as feedback loop detection, cable diagnostics or IGMP Snooping. The IGMP snopping technique allows switching of multicast frames only for selected users, while the IGMP throttling & filtering function limits access to resources to individual users at port level.
TL-SG3216 is an easy to use and manage switch. The hardware can be managed in various ways, e.g. through an intuitive graphical user interface in a web browser (GUI) or a command line interface (CLI). Packet transfer can be protected by SSL or SSH encryption. The support of SNMP (1/2/3) and RMON protocols allows the switch to transmit important status information and to capture unexpected events.
