TP-LINK JetStream TL-SG3424P is a manageable layer 2 switch equipped with 24 10/100/1000 Mbps PoE ports compliant with 802.3at/af standards, which provide a total of 320 W of power. This allows to power multiple access points or IP cameras. Four SFP combo slots enable versatile use of the device in the network. The switch provides high quality of operation, advanced support for Quality of Service, threat protection strategies and network management features in Layer 2. The combination of all these features makes this device ideal for small and medium-sized business network applications.
TL-SG3424P has 24 IEEE 802.3at/af compliant PoE ports and powers devices that are compatible with these standards. The total power of devices powered by the switch can be 320 W. This is a powerful and cost-effective solution for powering access points, surveillance cameras, IP telephones or other PoE devices. This efficient and cost effective solution allows you to remove additional power cables. Compact and versatile, the TL-SG3424P is therefore ideal for supplying PoE power to small and medium sized business networks.
JetStream security features such as IP-MAC-Port-VID bindings, port protection, Storm Control, DHCP snooping protect against ARP, Broadcast, Multicast and Unknown Unicast Storm attacks. Typical DoS attacks that the TL-SG3424P switch is designed to detect can be defined, making protection against them more effective than ever before. Access Control Lists (ACLs, L2 to L4) prevent access to certain network resources and packet denial can be set for specific source or destination MAC addresses, IP addresses, TCP/UDP ports and even VLAN identifiers. The device uses 802.1X encryption in combination with RADIUS server functions to authenticate users who want to access the network. It also allows users who do not support 802.1X to connect to specific network resources as VLAN guests.
For better audio, data and video transmission over the network, the device uses advanced QoS service options. Network administrators can prioritise network traffic, such as individual IP addresses, MAC addresses, TCP or UDP ports, so that audio and video transmissions are smooth, clear and free of transmission delays. When combined with support for voice transmission in virtual local area networks, applications using this feature operate in a very harmonious and efficient manner.
The TL-SG3424P supports 802.1Q-compliant VLAN tagging, Port Mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP and LACP and 802.3x-compliant data flow. The switch also supports advanced network security features such as loopback detection, cable diagnostics or IGMP snooping. IGMP snooping technology provides the ability to switch multicast frames only for selected users, while IGMP throttling & filtering limits access to resources to individual users at port level.
The TL-SG3424P switch is easy to use and manage. The device can be managed in various ways, e.g. through an intuitive browser-based graphical user interface (GUI) or command line interface (CLI). Packet transfer can be protected by SSL or SSH encryption. Support for SNMP (1/2/3) and RMON allows the switch to transmit relevant status information and capture unforeseen events. With the integrated NDP/NTDP protocol, the presented switch can be managed by another IP clustering device.

The configuration of a virtual local network is based more on logical network topology settings than on physical network connections. Computers in the same VLAN communicate with each other if they are connected to the local network. They cannot connect to computers on other VLANs. For more information, see there.
