The EdgePoint EP-R8 Gigabit router features FiberProtect, which significantly reduces damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and significantly improves the data signal quality for long-distance connections.
This single, compact device helps effectively avoid clutter from tangled cables. There is no need to buy expensive racks or pay for maintenance. Before activating 54 V or 24 V passive PoE, make sure the connected device supports PoE and has the voltage supplied.
1. Go to Actions > PoE for the interface you want to configure.
2. Configure PoE settings
For eth1-eth2, select Off, 24 V-4pair, or 54 V-4pair
For eth3-eth7, select Off or 24 V
Then click Save.
