The VPRO, 55 Ah, 12 V battery is made in VRLA/AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology, so it can operate in any position. Under normal operating conditions it does not emit gases and its tightness makes it not harmful to the environment. It is intended, among other things, for use in emergency power supply systems (UPS, automation systems), in solar installations and for work with voltage converters. It works best in buffer charging systems, but it can also be used in applications that require cyclic operation. The battery has about 650 working cycles and its lifetime is from 8 to 10 years at the temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius.
AGM type VRLA batteries are the most popular form of back-up power supply. The construction of VRLA batteries is based on fiberglass separators in which the electrolyte is concentrated. Separators are placed between lead plates inside the energy storage. An important feature of presented batteries is automatic sealing system (pressure valves - Valve Regulated). When excessive pressure inside the device is detected, the valves open, causing safe discharge of the resulting gas outside the casing, which prevents damage. The battery casing is made of ABS material and the cells are made of copper.
