About product

Mikrotik Routerboard RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN

The RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN routerboard is a wireless router that uses the incredibly powerful quad-core Cortex A15 from Amazon's Annapurna laboratory, just like the other RB1100AHx4 class carrier device. The router works in 2x2 MIMO technology for 2.4 GHz and 4x4 MIMO for 5 GHz. CPU supports hardware IPsec acceleration. It has 1 GB of RAM, so it can easily handle any task that has been configured in RouterOS. All this power is contained in a compact, black solid metal housing with a matte finish.

High throughput

The presented routerboard is a two-band, four-chain device with supported data throughput up to 1733 Mbps operating in 5 GHz. It is compatible with older devices, it also has 2 GHz dual-chain interface. The wireless router is equipped with large external antennas with 360 degrees of coverage. Ten Ethernet ports guarantee 1 Gbps throughput, while the SFP+ port provides an optional 10 Gbps link through a SFP+ module (not included).

The most important features:

  • 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 1 SFP+ slot
  • RouterOS level 5
  • Maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput: 300 Mb/s (2.4 GHz) and 1700 Mb/s (5 GHz)
  • 2x2 MIMO for 2.4 GHz and 4x4 MIMO for 5 GHz
  • Protocols 802.11 b/g/n and 802.11 a/n/ac
  • Wireless router operating simultaneously in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands
  • Switch chip RTL8367SB
  • AL21400 quad-core processor, 1.4 GHz clocked

What is an SFP?

SFP modules allow to connect the main board of a switch, router or other device to a fiber optic cable (single-mode, multi-mode) or to a copper cable (twisted pair).

What is MicroTik RouterOS?

MikroTik RouterOS is an operating system based on Linux, which has been specially designed to build advanced access points and routers with bandwidth management capabilities.

What is the difference between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi?

The main, but not the only difference between these turnouts is speed.
Ideally, 2.4 GHz WiFi will support up to 450 or 600 Mbps, while 5 GHz can reach up to 1300 Mbps.
But beware! The maximum speed depends on the Wi-Fi standard used by the router, i.e. 802.11b, 802.11h, 802.11n or 802.11ac.
