Finally, the long-awaited update to the Totolink A3002RU-V2 has arrived, which brings a lot of new functionality. First of all, it has modernized the look of the web interface itself, which has become more legible, modern and intuitive. Of course, this is not the only thing that deserves attention. A3002RU has been additionally equipped with VPN server based on PPTP and L2TP, SNMP protocol support and iperf server - an indispensable mechanism for checking the bandwidth in TCP and UDP protocols.

Band Steering - band control

Another very useful option is Band Steering (band control), thanks to which we significantly increase the efficiency of our wireless network. Band Steering detects clients capable of operating in the 5GHz band and directs them to that particular frequency. This leaves the more crowded 2.4GHz band for older clients.

WAN/LAN adapter

There is an option that allows to connect our main Internet source both to the WAN port and to any LAN port. The router automatically recognizes which port our main Internet source has been connected to.
