WiFi 7 access point for high-throughput networks

Ubiquiti U7-Pro-XGS is a professional, 8-stream WiFi 7 access point operating in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. It offers a total maximum theoretical throughput of 8600 Mb/s and supports up to 500+ simultaneous clients. The device’s theoretical coverage is approximately 160 m².

Three bands and MU-MIMO configuration

The device uses a 2x2 DL/UL MU-MIMO configuration in the 2.4 GHz and 6 GHz bands, and 4x4 DL/UL MU-MIMO in the 5 GHz band. Maximum data rates are 688 Mb/s for 2.4 GHz, 8600 Mb/s for 5 GHz and 5800 Mb/s for 6 GHz. Support for channels up to 320 MHz wide enables efficient data transmission.

10G Ethernet port and PoE++ power

The U7-Pro-XGS has 1 10G Ethernet RJ45 port, providing a fast wired connection for advanced wireless networks. The access point supports PoE++ 802.3bt type3 power and draws a maximum of 29 W. Transmitting data and power over a single cable simplifies installation.

Network management and security features

Integration with the UniFi Network platform enables centralised management and monitoring of the access point. The device supports wireless mesh, band steering, fast roaming 802.11r, BSS transition management 802.11v and RRM 802.11k. PPSK, client isolation, guest network isolation, WiFi speed limit and WiFi scheduling help tailor network operation to users’ needs.

Spectrum analysis and MLO support

A dedicated spectrum analysis radio allows interference to be monitored in real time and supports channel selection. The U7-Pro-XGS also supports Passpoint Hotspot 2.0, captive portal, up to 8 BSSID per radio and advanced QoS settings. The Multi-Link Operation feature will be introduced in a future software update.

Design for wall or ceiling mounting

The access point has a black housing made of UV-resistant polycarbonate and aluminium alloy. Internal antennas offer a gain of 4 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band and 6 dBi in the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. The device operates at temperatures from -30 to 40°C and humidity from 5% to 95% non-condensing. Installation is possible on a wall or ceiling.
