Handheld pinpointer metal detector

GP-Pointer SA-980 is a compact metal detector designed to locate small metal objects in soil, sand and grass. The pinpointer design helps narrow down the search area and find the object after a larger detector has previously indicated the area. The device can be comfortably operated with one hand.

Operating frequency 12 kHz

The device operates at a frequency of 12 kHz and enables detection of metal objects at a depth of approximately 7–15 cm, depending on the size of the object and ground conditions. It is suitable for searching for coins, jewellery, small metal items and other objects located beneath the ground surface.

Audio and vibration alerts

As the detector tip approaches a metal object, the device notifies the user with an audible signal and vibration. This solution makes it easier to gradually narrow down the location of the object, including when working in the field where attention must be focused on the ground.

IP66 protection rating

The IP66-rated housing protects the device against dust and strong water jets, so the detector can be used on wet ground and in more demanding field conditions. The declared operating temperature range is from -37°C to +70°C.

Compact design and LED torch

The GP-Pointer SA-980 is approximately 23 cm long and weighs around 230 g, making it easy to carry on outdoor trips. The built-in LED torch helps illuminate the search area in low visibility, for example in hollows, holes or after dark.

Holster and carabiner attachment

The set includes a holster and a flexible carabiner attachment, which make it easier to carry the detector and secure it while moving around outdoors. The device is powered by one 9 V battery. The battery is not included and must be purchased separately.
