Compatibility with smart home ecosystems

The Aqara E1 Camera integrates with third-party ecosystems such as Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. It supports Apple HomeKit Secure Video, providing private analysis and encryption of captured videos on Home Hub devices (Apple TV or HomePod) and secure storage in iCloud (Home hub and subscription required). With an iCloud+ subscription, you can access the last 10 days of activity from one or several cameras.

The camera also offers two-way audio communication and night vision. Even in large areas, you can still use the PT (pan and tilt) function for tracking and recording, with a 360° viewing perspective.

Privacy protection improvements

The Aqara E1 Camera has a privacy mode, which can rotate the camera to a specified position, and the user can adjust the rotation angle and turn off the camera. You can also hide specific areas in the frame. For the first time, E1 introduces a function to turn off audio recording or mute the microphone, manually or via automation. In addition, E1 offers support for WPA3, increasing security for better privacy protection and reducing potential vulnerabilities.

24/7 recording and multiple data storage methods

24/7 recording helps you check your home at any time, giving you peace of mind around the clock. However, to do this, you need to insert a Micro SD card (not included). You do not need to worry that long-term recording will cause video storage problems, as you can choose between an SD card or paid cloud storage depending on your needs (with one day of free use). Multiple local or cloud storage options give users a more varied choice, removing limitations.

Local person detection in automation

The Aqara E1 Camera can recognise human shapes and perform tracking shots at a 350-degree angle. What is more, it can still achieve integration with more smart devices based on the Aqara ecosystem through AI person tracking. For example, when E1 detects someone in the hallway, it can switch on the lights. When the door and window sensors on the front door detect an opening, E1 will turn to a specified position to take a precise shot.

User-friendly installation and setup

Thanks to the use of Bluetooth network technology in MagicPair, the E1 connection is stable and efficient. In addition, it has received Wi-Fi 6 certification. The camera supports both horizontal and inverted installation, thanks to the 1/4-inch threaded screw mount and screw-on mounting base. It also uses a USB-C power interface.

Custom settings

It supports up to 50 frequently used location settings, allowing you to create 15-second time-lapse videos and upload custom ringtones. With power-off memory, you will not miss family moments after a power outage, and it also offers automatic return.
