5G router for connectivity in demanding environments

MikroTik LAMP 5G R16 is an outdoor 5G device with radio integrated with omnidirectional antennas. The design combines 5G and LTE Category 20 connectivity, built-in eSIM support and an IP67 enclosure, so you can use it in cities, ports, industrial areas, coastal infrastructure and on board ships. Omnidirectional antennas allow the device to connect to the available network without manually pointing the antenna towards a single base station.

5G and LTE Category 20 connectivity

The device supports 5G SA and 5G NSA modes and LTE Category 20. Maximum theoretical download throughput is 4.2 Gb/s for 5G SA, 5 Gb/s for 5G NSA and 2 Gb/s for LTE Category 20. Download uses 4x4 MIMO, and upload uses 2x2 MIMO. Band aggregation allows several bands to be used at the same time, which can improve connection performance in crowded environments or with a weaker signal.

eSIM without replacing a physical card

The built-in eSIM makes it easier to deploy devices without handling physical SIM cards. The operator can remotely activate a data package, and the installation can be started in a short time. MikroTik LAMP 5G R16 is compatible with MikroTik Connectivity, a pre-activated data service. The device also supports multiple eSIM providers and multiple eSIM profiles, so you can store different operator plans and switch between them depending on the needs of backup connectivity, roaming or a multi-operator network.

Design for outdoor and maritime applications

MikroTik LAMP 5G R16 has been designed for outdoor operation, including maritime environments. The IP67 protection rating protects the enclosure against the conditions specified by this standard, and compliance with EN 60945 relates to environmental and electromagnetic requirements for maritime communications. The included stainless steel bracket allows the device to be mounted on a wall or mast. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +70°C.

GNSS for positioning and tracking

Built-in GNSS support provides access to GPS, Glonass, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS systems. This means the device can provide location information used in fleet management, asset tracking, remote infrastructure support and applications using location data. The GNSS function is intended for positioning, tracking and location-based applications that are not critical. The device is not designed or certified for navigation, route planning or critical maritime navigation.

Ethernet, PoE-In and RouterOS

The device is equipped with one Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mb/s port, which can be used for network connection and power supply via PoE-In 802.3af/at. The input voltage range is 12–56 V, and the maximum power consumption is 10 W. The package includes a 24 V DC / 0.5 A power supply, a gigabit PoE injector and a mounting bracket. Device operation is handled by RouterOS v7 with Level 3 licence. The design is based on a dual-core ARM 64-bit 800 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and 32 MB of Flash memory.
