The Extralink OLT E04-2 is a GEPON OLT (Optical Line Terminal) specially designed for FTTx point-to-multipoint (PtMP) applications. The FHL104C has GEPON ports, gigabit SFP uplink interfaces and one management port. The 1U high enclosure allows for easy installation in a rack. Simple management facilitates the installation and maintenance of the Gigabit fiber network. In case of cooperation with GEPON ONT (Optical Network Terminal) the Extralink OLT E04-2 terminal guarantees highly efficient GEPON solutions for broadband networks. Thanks to the integration of advanced telecommunication industry technologies, it provides useful Ethernet functions such as VLAN, Multicast, DBA (Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation) and Access Control List.

A cost-effective network connection solution

Thanks to the high split ratio of 1:64 and 2 PON ports, the Extralink OLT E04-2 terminal allows the implementation of to 64*4 ONT, thus minimizing investment costs. The multi-point communication protocol based on Gigabit Ethernet enables sharing of the Gigabit fiber optic communication by multiple end users using a passive optical splitter. The Extralink OLT E04-2 terminal offers network users the benefits of high bandwidth, grouping flexibility, as well as line resource savings and end equipment.

Efficient management of ONU units

The Extralink OLT E04-2 supports a variety of operational and monitoring functions for effective management of ONUs, including automatic ONU detection, automatic recording, call testing, MAC address binding and filtering, QoS, bandwidth control, flow control and multicast stream control. The Extralink OLT E04-2's Gigabit SFP uplink interfaces are compatible with WDM SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) and 1000Base-SX/LX fiber modules.
