Gateway for scalable infrastructure management

Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max is a professional Cloud Gateway for managing large UniFi networks. It combines a network controller, switch and security gateway in one device. It offers routing performance of up to 5 Gb/s with IDS/IPS features and security services enabled.

Managing UniFi devices

The built-in UniFi controller lets you manage UniFi switches and access points. The device also supports UniFi Protect software, which enables camera monitoring and surveillance system management. Administration is complemented by tools for configuring Wi-Fi quality, VPN and reporting on Internet quality and outages.

Network ports and performance

The UDM-Pro-Max offers 8 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, a 2.5G Gigabit Ethernet WAN port and two 10G SFP+ slots, one for WAN and one for LAN. The quad-core ARM Cortex-A57 processor runs at 2.0 GHz, and the system memory has a capacity of 8 GB DDR4. IDS/IPS throughput is 5 Gb/s.

Connection and power redundancy

Dual WAN supports failover and load balancing. In the event of a wired connection failure, the device can switch to UniFi LTE Backup. The USP-RPS connector allows backup power to be used if the internal power supply stops working.

Security and video monitoring

The gateway offers application-aware firewall rules, signature-based IPS/IDS threat detection and filtering of content, domains, countries and adverts. UniFi Protect NVR supports two 3.5-inch hard drive bays with RAID data protection. The built-in 128 GB SSD is used to store NVR detection recordings, and hard drives must be purchased separately.

Rack-mount enclosure

The metal enclosure made of CNC aluminium and SGCC steel has a 1U format and rack-mount brackets. The 1.3-inch LCM touchscreen displays device information. The design operates in temperatures from -10 °C to 40 °C and at humidity from 5 to 95% non-condensing.
