The device uses dual detection: a 60GHz mmWave radar and a passive infrared PIR sensor. This synergy makes the sensor accurately detect the slightest movement and even the state of rest. This continuous optimization of the algorithm contributes to exceptional automation stability in your smart home. It offers stable operation for up to 3 years in Zigbee mode and up to 2 years in Thread mode. Helps further extend battery life by being able to disable selected sensors in the Aqara Home app.

In Thread mode, it can directly connect to platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home and SmartThings without the required Aqara hub. Zigbee mode, on the other hand, opens up access to advanced, exclusive features in the Aqara Home app and enables easy integration into an existing system based on the classic Aqara Hub.
