The device has a "Dual boot" function, which allows you to choose between two operating systems - RouterOS or SwitchOS. If you prefer to use a simplified operating system with specific switch functions, use SwOS. If you want to be able to use routing and other layer 3 functions on your CRS, use RouterOS. You can select the desired operating system from RouterOS, SwOS, or RouterBOOT loader settings.
