Mijia Smart Servo-Oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro EU – intelligent support for daily oral hygiene

The Mijia Smart Servo-Oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro EU uses a servo-oscillation motor that combines vibrations with a sweeping motion. The device’s design has been adapted to the Bass brushing method, which involves guiding the bristles at an angle of around 45° to the gum line. In personalised mode, the oscillation angle can reach up to 60°, which, according to the manufacturer’s data, provides a cleaning area three times wider than in earlier Mijia toothbrush models. Cleaning effectiveness reached 91.96% in tests, which the manufacturer presents as a result of up to 92%.

Tooth surface recognition and motion adjustment

The built-in six-axis gyroscope analyses the position of the toothbrush and helps recognise the tooth surface currently being cleaned. When brushing chewing surfaces, the device reduces the sweeping motion range and increases the vibration frequency. On the side surfaces of the teeth, the motion angle is increased to cover a larger area. This makes it easier to guide the toothbrush through successive areas of the mouth and helps reduce the risk of leaving spots uncleaned.

Colour display and pressure control

The colour LCD display provides information about the brushing process, brushing time and areas requiring additional attention. After the session, the user can check whether all surfaces have been cleaned properly. The toothbrush also monitors brushing pressure – if the brushing force is too strong, the device starts to vibrate and the round indicator on the back of the handle flashes red. The power is then automatically reduced, which helps lessen the strain on the gums caused by excessive force.

Long battery life and convenient USB-C charging

After a full charge, the toothbrush can operate for up to around 180 days in gentle mode or up to around 90 days in standard mode. These values were obtained while brushing for two minutes, twice a day. A full charge takes around five hours, and the USB-C port makes it easy to use popular cables and chargers. When the battery is flat, a two-minute quick charge provides enough power for one two-minute cleaning session. The travel lock helps prevent accidental activation in a wash bag or luggage.

Personalised brushing in the Xiaomi Home app

Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 connectivity allows the toothbrush to connect to the Xiaomi Home app. The user can use a mode tailored on the basis of answers given in a questionnaire and choose separate programmes for morning and evening brushing. The personalised mode also allows selected operating parameters of the device to be adjusted. The app provides reports from recent sessions, information about the risk of plaque build-up and tips to help improve daily habits. Two heads suited to different needs

The set includes two heads: a cleaning head for everyday care and a soft head designed for gentler brushing. The first uses double spiral columns and crescent-shaped bristles, while the soft version has circularly arranged fibres of graduated length. The bristles are fixed without the use of copper, and the rubber coating on the head cushions contact between the toothbrush and the teeth. The green fibres gradually lose their colour, reminding the user that the head needs replacing. The manufacturer recommends replacing it every three months.

Thoughtful features for everyday use

The toothbrush housing meets the IPX8 waterproof rating, so the entire device can be rinsed under water. However, the charging port should be dried before connecting the cable. A three-second gradual start reduces splashing of toothpaste when the device is switched on, and mode memory restores the previously used intensity setting. The one-piece moulded handle has been coated with a UV finish, giving it a smooth surface and making it comfortable to hold while brushing.
