Extralink poe injector
The Poe injector allows you to bring power to your 10/100/1000mbps network over CAT5e, CAT6 or CAT6A Ethernet cable. The power source can be any power supply from 10V to 30V and the output voltage of the injector is 48V. The poe adapter can be powered from the DC jack 5.5/2.1 mm connector - or from the RJ45 plug pins - 4.5 (plus) and 7.8 - (minus). Thanks to the poe injector, a battery (12V or 24V) or passive PoE (10V-30V) can be used to power the 48V device.
When connecting power to the DC jack 2.1mm input - the power will be isolated from the male RJ-45 connector - so it can be connected to a switch or router. The 48V output voltage is delivered to pins 3.6 (plus) and 1.2 - (minus) of the RJ-45 female jack to power any 802.3af device. This converts both the voltage that the receiving device is powered by and the pins on which the power over ethernet operates.
