Teltonika DAP145 industrial access point

Teltonika DAP145 is an industrial Wi-Fi access point designed to expand wireless communication in automation systems, the energy sector, utilities and installations created by system integrators. The device uses the Wi-Fi 4 standard and operates in the 2.4 GHz band. It can function as an access point or a wireless network client, enabling industrial devices to be connected to IP infrastructure without the need for extensive cabling.

RS485 port and Serial-to-IP communication

The built-in RS485 port enables the integration of devices using industrial serial communication with an IP-based network. DAP145 supports Serial-to-IP bridging and Modbus-related functions, which helps connect controllers, meters and other devices equipped with an RS485 interface. The RutOS system also offers Data to Server tools and support for industrial protocols such as OPC UA, BACnet, DNP3, DLMS and IEC 60870-5.

Mesh, STA mode and Fast Roaming

Teltonika DAP145 supports Mesh, STA and Fast Roaming Wi-Fi modes, allowing it to perform different functions depending on the network design. Mesh mode helps extend the range of the wireless infrastructure, while STA client mode enables the device to connect to an existing Wi-Fi network. Fast Roaming contributes to smoother switching between access points. DAP145 supports up to 50 simultaneous wireless connections.

Two Ethernet ports and flexible power supply

The device is equipped with two RJ45 Ethernet ports, which allow wired network components to be connected and DAP145 to be integrated with the local LAN infrastructure. The access point can be powered by 9–30 V DC via a 3-pin power connector or by passive PoE supplied through the LAN2 port. This solution makes it easier to adapt the power supply method to the installation conditions. The passive PoE used in DAP145 is not compatible with IEEE 802.3af or IEEE 802.3at standards.

Industrial enclosure and management via RMS

The aluminium enclosure and integrated DIN rail mount help with installing the device in control cabinets, switchboards and other industrial installations. The RutOS system provides a WebUI interface, SSH access and extensive networking and administrative functions. DAP145 also works with the Teltonika Remote Management System platform, which enables remote monitoring of device parameters and configuration changes, even when the access point does not have a public IP address.
